Egyptian food recipes?

Mr A wants to lose some weight, he doesnt eat outside of the home, so its my cooking to blame and typically cooking too much and making him feel that he must eat. So what Egyptian recipes do you know that are low in calories but still tasty?

Is it a good idea to cut a lot of the meat from the current cooking that I do? We mainly eat beef-without any fat on it

use less fats (butter, margarine, etc..)

Don't eat dinner!

I personally cannot chose anything... They all seem delicious!

As far as concerns your question about the meat, try not to overdo it by using beef in your recipies. Try the alternative of the chicken. Extremely low calories and still too tasty.

Enjoy the site and the cooking!

Hey there AA,

Well Egyptian food is very tasty and if you eat large amounts of it, well love handles start popping out. So i do two tricks, the first, i decrease the portions that i eat, and the second is i increase the amounts of raw vegetables and fruits that i eat each day.

As for Egyptian recipes well, i like the vegetable soup, but i improvise a bit and add all sort of vegetables to it. Like celery, baby cabbage, mushrooms, artichokes, leeks, and off course, carrots, peas, beans.... etc. Also i don't like to add a lot of stock, 1 cup of stock to 3 water. It is very healthy and tasty. Also, i eat red meat, usually beef or chicken boiled.

Another really wise choice would be fish, coz it doesn't absorb any fats from oil and is full of Omega3 which is very healthy. You can cook it anyway u like and eat some quite large portions and still, won't be fattening.

I know i didn't help much.... but that is all i could think of.
